Green Industry Awards ™
This is a co-operation between Green Cement Technology & Research Center (GreenCem.it) -The Italian Cement and Concrete Center of Excellence ™ (Centro Italiano di Eccellenza Cemento e Calcestruzzo ™ CIECC) and EarthFriendlyCement.org (a NGO in Denmark). What to do?
"The only logical and responsible way to reduce the industry’s climate impact, is to change the composition and regulation of cement, rather than trying to capture its Co2 pollution - which has shown to be ineffective according to recent report from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). However decarbonizing Portland cement is good news and long overdue, but it's not making it Green cement. Green cement and sustainable concrete products are best made from Circular Waste Management (CWM) in order to support the important Circular Economy worldwide, Portland is not! Allowing carbon credit offset in the cement industry is not in the general interest of the 2050 Net-zero target - much less the Free Allowance in EU permitting Portland to continue its grand scale pollution for free, when there are plenty of ways to make eco-friendly cement and concrete, which are stronger than Portland" - Jan Vistisen, Public Speaker and founder of Earth Friendly Cement (NGO).
